RECENT IMPROVEMENTS

With your help, we’ve been fortunate to provide Jackson Hospital with signifcant support over the past few years: the River Region’s only da Vinci ® robotic surgical suite, patient simulation manikins and improvements to several departments. We’ve awarded $33,000 in scholarships to local high school students pursuing health careers and helped more than 30 of our own employees in times of severe fnancial hardship.

OUR CURRENT WISH LIST

• Sixth-foor renovations: The Ortho-pedic & Joint Center and the Advanced Spine Center on the hospital’s sixth foor are known for their spacious private rooms and professional, personalized nursing care. While services shine, these units are in need of major cosmetic up-dating. Carpet needs to be replaced with tile, and the walls and bathrooms need updating.

• New televisions: Patients have time on their hands as they recuperate, and television viewing is a pleasant diver-sion. Many of our televisions were pur-chased 15 years ago when the current hospital was constructed. It’s time to go fat screen! DVD players are needed for rooms as well.
