Letter from
the
CEO
Dear friends
and neighbors,
I trust you are enjoy-
ing the cool, crisp
air with family and
friends. Jackson
Hospital is here to assist you in staying
healthy for this very busy season.
This issue of
Partners
is your guide
for better health. Included are impor-
tant dates to remember for various
screenings, as well as beneficial infor-
mation on many different health top-
ics that may affect you or a member of
your family.
Let me encourage you to get a flu
shot. The Centers for Disease Con-
trol and Prevention recommends that
nearly everyone older than 6 months
get vaccinated. It is particularly impor-
tant to consider the flu shot if you are
at high risk for getting severely ill with
the flu or regularly come in contact
with those who are at high risk, such
as pregnant women; people 65 years
and older; and people with certain
medical conditions, including asthma,
diabetes and chronic lung disease.
Please discuss the advantages of immu-
nization with your personal physician.
If you do find yourself requiring
medical care, remember—Jackson
Hospital is here for you!
My best to you and your family for
good health and prosperity!
Joe B. Riley
President and CEO
