4 Jackson Hospital Bill Finley | Non-Clinical Caroline Atter, RN | Clinical Ron Bishop | Manager Nora Henderson | EVS A FOCUS ON SAFER SURGERIES Amanda Innes, MSN, RN, CNL, CNOR, and Anna Bishop, BSN, RN, CNOR, have completed a five-year study on the efficacy of commercial products in preventing surgical site infections. They submitted the study to the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses in hopes that they would be selected to present at the 2019 Global AORN Conference. They received the notification in January that their study had been chosen, and they repre- sented Jackson Hospital at the conference in April in Nashville, Tennessee! Congratulations to Amanda and Anna on their accomplishments! PAM WOLFE AWARD WINNER Terry Argent, RN, was recently awarded the Pam Wolfe Award for service, dedi- cated to the memory of Pam Wolfe, RN, who served as a nurse manager on the surgical floor of Baptist East hospital. Terry was recognized by her peers and faculty for her leadership, beauty, and devotion to nursing. She has dedicated 27 of her 34 years in nursing to Jackson Hospital.
