LIFESOUTH BLOOD DRIVE During the COVID-19 pandemic, local blood banks have been stretched thin and have been in constant need of blood donations. Jackson Hospital worked with LifeSouth to bring blood drives back to the hospital for our employees in the safest way pos- sible. The LifeSouth blood mobile visits our campus every 2 months so our employees can conveniently donate blood without ever leaving work. Our last few blood drives have seen record numbers of employee blood donations, and we are incredibly thankful for this simple way of giving back! MAGICAL CHRISTMAS TOY DRIVE The Magical Christmas Toy Drive is a yearly tradition that allows both Jackson Hospital team members and the public to give back. We collect toys in our hospital lobby, in partnership with the Alabama News Network, which are then donated to the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army has a special place in the hearts of Jackson Hospital team members, and we love any way we can give back to this wonderful organization! COMMUNITY VACCINATIONS BEGIN The Jackson Hospital team recently began vaccinating staff, com- munity healthcare workers, first responders, and community mem- bers 75 years of age and older. Our team has worked tirelessly to protect our community against COVID-19! jackson.org 5
