The hospital’s surgeons operate via a computer that re- motely controls small instruments attached to robotic arms. With robotic surgery, the surgeon sits at a nearby computer station, totally controlling the robot’s movement. Multiple cameras throughout the operating room allow the surgeon to monitor each aspect of the surgery, including an endoscope camera that allows the surgeon to see through the incision.
