NATIONAL MS SOCIETY WALK The MS Walk was a blast this year! We walked to raise funds for research and services for people with multiple sclerosis. Michelle Brock was Jackson Hospital’s team captain this year. This walk is important to her be- cause she has MS and continues to fight this disease every day. SPORTS MEDICINE HIGH SCHOOL PHYSICALS CLINIC This year’s clinic was bigger than ever! This annual event is held to give high school athletes in the River Region a free sports physical, which is required to play sports at school. Facebook “f”Logo CMYK / .ai FUNKY FUN RUN/ WALK FOR AUTISM The annual Funky Fun Run is a retro- themed walk and 5K that benefits the Autism Society of Alabama in its mission to “solve the puzzle.” This year’s team captain for Jackson Hospital was Kim Stalnaker, whose son, Bradley, has autism. This walk is important to raise awareness and funds for programs to benefit those with autism spectrum disorder. “A DAY AT THE BEACH” PICNIC As part of National Hospital Week, employees were treated to a beach-themed picnic lunch provided by our cafeteria and to games, music and lots of fun.
