HOPE IN BLOOM DEAR FRIENDS, Caring for others is at the heart of everything we do at Jackson Hospital. The past year has shown us what we as a community can do when we embrace the opportunity to comfort those around us. As we blossom into a new season of health and wellness, we want to highlight those who go above and beyond through their expression in art and service to others. The artwork on the cover fea- tures a photograph from “Flowers for Mom,” showcased throughout the halls of the 6 North patient care unit. The series serves as a re- minder that the seeds from flowers provide hope for future blooms. We believe art can benefit in the healing process and want to thank the wonderful donors for providing our patients and their families with something beautiful to view during difficult periods. Read more about the “Flowers for Mom” project and how it blesses the halls of Jackson Hospital in this issue of Partners . Equally devoted to our patients and their families are our Jackson team members, who serve with love and compassion every single day. We award clinical and nonclinical staff every quarter in recognition for their team spirit. We also give out the Daisy Award, a national honor that recognizes extraordinary nurses and the incredible work they do to care for patients and their families. As you review our year in 2017, be reminded that we remain dedi- cated to serving those in our com- munity throughout 2018. Joe B.
