Within Jackson Hospital, you will find several Centers of Excellence, which are programs that have been certified by The Joint Commission. The Joint Commission accredits and certifies healthcare organizations nationwide based on state-of-the-art standards for patient safety and quality of care. Jackson Hospital boasts four Centers of Excellence: our Heart Center, Spine Center, Stroke Center, and AAA Surgery. AWARD WINNING Heart Center The Jackson Hospital Heart Center is well- equipped to handle all medical matters of the heart, day or night.We are able to rapidly diagnose and treat cardiac emergencies, with 24-hour availability of cardiac stent placement and cardiac surgery. Our three cardiac catheter- ization labs are equipped with state-of-the-art technology that allows staff to collect and analyze data instantly. Spine Center The Advanced Spine Center at Jackson Hospi- tal uses the most advanced treatment options, including minimally invasive procedures for the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. The expe- rienced staff in the Spine Center is specifically trained to treat patients who have undergone spine surgery. Our dedicated Spine Center coordinator helps educate patients both before and after their procedure to help them get back on their feet. Stroke Center Jackson Hospital holds an Advanced Certifica- tion for Primary Stroke Centers, awarded by The Joint Commission and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. Our staff is dedicated to providing better outcomes for patients who have had a stroke, from admis- sion to discharge. AAA Surgery Abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) occur in the largest blood vessel in your body. The experienced team at Jackson Hospital uses the latest imaging tests to accurately diagnose AAA.
