JACKSON HOSPITAL
is proud to announce
that Almedia Davenport, RN, received the Pam
Wolfe Award, which honors nurses for exemplary
service. Davenport has been a night-shift nurse on 6
Tower for more than 25 years.
“Almedia’s dedication to this unit is exemplary,”
said Gretchen Vercher, director of 6 Tower neurolo-
gy and orthopedics. “Our patients love her, and those
she works with praise her for her ability to handle
anything that comes her way with grace and poise.
Almedia is highly respected by her peers, supervisors
and physicians, and she is a great resource for the
less-experienced nurses on the unit. She is very de-
serving of this award and is a true example of what
nursing is meant to be.”
The PamWolfe Award is a service award dedi-
cated to the memory of PamWolfe, RN, a nurse
manager at a local hospital. She was recognized by
her peers and faculty for her leadership and devotion
to nursing. She exemplified true leadership, a strong
work ethic, a positive attitude and devotion to her
patients.
The annual award ceremony is sponsored by the
Medical Society of Montgomery County.
