jackson.org 15 COMMUNITY TAGLINE HERE In keeping with the Jackson Hospital Foundation’s efforts to provide first-class cardiac services to the River Region, this year’s primary fundraising efforts will center on cardiovascular care. Jackson Hospital will be adding four post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) recovery bays, which will give the hospital more flexibility to use our six cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU) patient rooms for additional open heart surgery care. This new four-bed unit will provide better continuity of care and careful monitoring of patients in critical condition. It will cost nearly $1.4 million in construction and new equipment. The project is a multiyear fundraising effort for the Foundation.
