STRYKER INTOUCH
TM
BEDS
Jackson Hospital replaced its 155 medical
and surgical patient beds and its 24 criti-
cal care patient beds. The InTouch beds by
Stryker, which can automatically weigh the
patient and note changes in weight, can also
send a chart entry to the electronic medical
record (EMR) when bed rails are raised or
lowered. More extensive features include the
ability to actually ask questions and “speak”
to a patient in their
native language.

for anyone looking to
be active and work
directly with patients
and their families,”
said Linda Dean,

“Our volunteers
give so much back
to Jackson. They are
truly invaluable.”
