SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY
have driven many advances, but the true
art of healthcare is in the delivery. That’s
why it’s so important to create a relation-
ship with your doctor, so they can get to
know you and your body. And together you
can work to maintain your good health.
Since 1996 The Jackson Clinic has been
creating relationships with patients in
Montgomery. Starting with just one physi-
cian, the clinic is now a multispecialty
physician group offering primary and spe-
cialty care. And we’re continuing to grow!
We’re pleased to announce the addition
of three new providers to the group and
our first clinic in the Prattville area.
A familiar face
joins general
surgery
Brian Gary, MD, has
been a valued member
of the medical staff of
Jackson Hospital since
arriving in 2006. A na-
tive of Montgomery, he
attended Meherry Medical College in
Nashville, Tenn., after completing his
undergrad at Tuskegee University. Once
completing his general surgery residence
at Medical University of South Carolina
in Charleston, he returned to his roots
and joined the Jackson Hospital staff in
private practice.
He is a board-certified general sur-
geon who treats patients with an array
of needs, including endocrine, oncologic,
gastrointestinal, colorectal and more.
Notably, Dr. Gary offers minimally
invasive surgical services, including
robotic procedures with the da Vinci
Surgical System, and is the only general
surgeon in Central Alabama who does
robotic procedures.
“I’m extremely excited to be a part of
The Jackson Clinic, and the hospital in
general, which has been a base for me
since my surgical practice began,” said
Dr. Gary. “I want to continue to strive to
provide exceptional care and introduce
cutting-edge technology to the region.”
Primary, geriatric
care expand
Creating a medical home
is an important step
in your ongoing good
health and starts with a
primary care provider.
Karen Flanagan, DO, is
a board-certified family
medicine physician who
joins The Jackson Clinic staff with a
Prattville Clinic
now open
As these new physicians and
practitioners join the Montgomery
campus, we proudly announce the
expansion of The Jackson Clinic to
Prattville on Main Street. Beloved
family medicine doctor Charles
Cloutier, MD, retired from practice
at the end of 2012. The Jackson
Clinic’s Jade Hoy, DO, assumed
his practice in January, relocating
from the Family
Medicine and
Urgent Care
Center in
Montgomery.
“I am very
proud and
excited that The
Jackson Clinic
will continue to provide family
practice services to my present
location and that my current office
staff will continue to work there,”
says Dr. Cloutier. “Dr. Hoy’s expe-
rience and knowledge guarantees
a smooth transition.”
In addition to cosmetic
upgrades, the office will be
technologically enhanced with the
installation of the same elec-
tronic health record system used
throughout The Jackson Clinic.
This ensures seamless care for
Dr. Hoy’s existing patients, who
are also welcome at the new loca-
tion. The clinic also houses a suite
where specialty physicians such as
cardiologists and orthopedic and
general surgeons share time. This
allows physicians to have office
hours in Prattville and to offer
greater convenience for patients
who can get all their healthcare
needs met close to home. For
