Introducing Joe B. Riley
JACKSON HOSPITAL
is pleased to
welcome Joe B. Riley as its new president
and CEO.
Riley joins the hospital after serving for
the last four years as CEO of McAllen
Medical Center, in McAllen, Texas.
Jim Ridling, chair of the CEO search
committee, made the announcement dur-
ing an April board meeting.
“Mr. Riley will be Jackson Hospital’s
fourth CEO in its 66-year history in
Montgomery,” Ridling said. “He is a regis-
tered nurse and comes to us with an ex-
cellent track record of accomplishments in
hospital management. His focus has been
on quality patient care, and the board is
very excited to have Joe and his wife Mary
Ann as new members of the Montgomery
and Jackson family.”
A solid leader
Riley is a native of Amarillo, where he
received an associate degree in nursing
from Amarillo College. He later received
his bachelor’s degree fromWest Texas
State University and his master’s degree
in healthcare administration from Trinity
University in San Antonio. He is board
certified and is a fellow of the American
College of Healthcare Executives.
Riley has been active in numerous
civic and professional organizations, in-
cluding chambers of commerce, the Boys
and Girls Club, and Rotary International.
In addition, he has been on the boards of
an indigent-care clinic and a local blood
service and on the advisory board for a
local college.
An experienced administrator, Riley
served as the CEO of Central Mississippi
Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.; Poplar
Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar
Bluff, Mo.; and Crawford Memorial Hos-
pital in Van Buren, Ark.

Riley said. “I am already proud of the rich

our patients.”
