The Jackson Hospital Family Birth Center integrates comfort and convenience while featuring inno- vative equipment to make your birthing experience the best it can be. Our Family Birth Center offers the largest labor and delivery suites in the region; lactation consultation specialists; a milk bank for mothers who are unable to produce breast milk; and our greatest asset, our team members with more than 100 years of collective labor and delivery nursing experience. In addition to our nursing team, lactation specialists, neonatologists, ObGyns, and other team members, The Jackson Clinic has the only Urological Gynecologist in the region, Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal. Further, we are delighted to announce that we’ve recently added Pediatrics to the services offered through The Jackson Clinic, the largest multi-specialty clinic in the region. We welcome two pediatricians to our community, Dr. Ulysses Davila, who is bilingual in Spanish and English, and Dr. Adam Scott, the only nephrology fellow- ship trained pediatrician in the region. These two new pediatricians joined Dr. David Drennen and Dr. Robert Coggin of Professional Pediatrics at The Jackson Clinic. Our renovated suites allow for mothers to labor and deliver in the same room, eliminating the stress of moving to another room post-delivery. The first hour of life is the best time for a newborn to begin skin-to-skin contact with mom and dad. Parents are able to concentrate on bonding with their new baby while receiving breast feeding education and enjoying amenities that make the environment safe and comfortable. Our Birth Center holds a Special Care Nursery that is equipped with a team of highly-trained neona- tologists and nursing staff to care for newborns who require additional or specialized care after birth. You can trust our team with what matters most: your family. Our center is able to care for babies who are born prematurely, with health is- sues such as jaundice, low blood sugar, temporary breathing problems, low birth weight, and need special assistance with feeding, temperature or oxygen maintenance. I had a high risk pregnancy and I was so ner- vous, but everyone was so sweet and comforting to all my needs. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. My sweet nurse, Karen, was a gift from above, and Dr. Kouri was with me from day one. He monitored me so closely, and we celebrated when I made it to 39 weeks. I felt at peace and at ease the whole time I was there. I allowed sweet medical students in the delivery room, who held my legs and cheered me on. The nursery staff was so incredible, along with the lactation specialist. It takes a whole team of people to care for these moms and babies, and I truly believe the Jackson Hospital Family Birth Center has an awesome team of people.”
